About TULIPS
The TULIPS consortium aims to advance low-carbon mobility and enhance sustainability efforts at airports over the next four years. Supported by €25 million in EU funding as part of the European Green Deal, this initiative will develop and implement innovative solutions. The collaboration of leading airports, airlines, knowledge institutes, and industrial partners within this unique European consortium will significantly contribute to sustainable aviation, building on current efforts and planned actions.
By working at four diverse airports and leveraging input from a broad coalition of partners, the impact of these solutions on European climate targets will become clear. Demonstrating specific actions to accelerate sustainability in various scenarios will showcase these innovations and their potential for implementation across Europe. The project’s outcomes are expected to play a crucial role in decarbonising the aviation sector. The knowledge gained will be shared on this website, enabling the aviation industry and other European airports to apply TULIPS concepts and technologies through practical roadmaps.
