TULIPS Events

The energy transition represents one of the most critical challenges of our time, and airports find themselves in the midst of this transformation. 

TULIPS is at the forefront of testing and validating several concepts and technologies. On 10 October 2024 we shared our preliminary results and lessons learned during our TULIPS Progress Event. Subjects covered amongst others energy storage, hydrogen tech, and clean strategies.  

Looking back on the TULIPS Progress Event

Following the success of the inaugural Hydrogen Airports Conference in Brussels, organised by Stargate in collaboration with ACI Europe and To70, the 2nd Hydrogen Airports Conference, hosted by TULIPS, took place on October 11, 2024. This event highlighted new developments in hydrogen technology and its significance for airports. Industry leaders and experts convened to discuss challenges, share knowledge, and explore the role of airports in advancing hydrogen adoption.

Looking back on the Hydrogen Airports Conference

During our launch event on October 27, 2022, we unveiled plans for 17 demonstrator projects aimed at enhancing airport sustainability. The event featured an aftermovie capturing the ‘Sustainable Airport Challenge,’ as well as livestreams covering three key topics: Greener flight, Smart airport, and Clean airport.
