TULIPS Closing Event: Accelerating the Pathway to Net Zero Airports

On 5 November 2026, the TULIPS Closing Event at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will bring together TULIPS partners, airports, policymakers and aviation stakeholders to celebrate the achievements of the five-year TULIPS project.

Hosted by Schiphol as the TULIPS lighthouse airport, the event will showcase the project’s most impactful results and introduce the TULIPS Roadmap: a practical guide designed to help airports accelerate their transition towards scalable net-zero operations while strengthening resilience.

Morning Programme | Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

A central element of the event is the presentation of the TULIPS Roadmap, brought to life through contributions from the project’s airport partners: Schiphol, Avinor, SAGAT Turin Airport, Hermes Airports and Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Together, they will highlight key achievements, share lessons learned and explore their implications for airports looking to decarbonise their operations.

Afternoon Programme | Madurodam

The afternoon programme will focus on some of the most promising TULIPS solutions and explore how they can be implemented and scaled across the airport sector. Discussions with policymakers, industry representatives and project partners will look ahead to the next steps for sustainable aviation, building on the project’s legacy and the roadmap as a practical resource for airports across Europe and beyond.

Celebrating the Roadmap Achievement of the 5-year TULIPS Project

The TULIPS Closing Event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate five years of collaboration, share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and look ahead to the future of more sustainable airports. The TULIPS project has been made possible through funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
